Do I need a consultation before my first treatment?

Yes. Every new client starts with a forty-five-minute consultation. We take a medical history, assess the concern, take standardised photographs and give you a written plan with prices and timelines. Nothing is treated on the day unless you ask, you are medically suitable and you have had time to read the consent form.

Can I book online, or do I have to call?

Online booking is open around the clock and confirms instantly for most services. Some treatments require a consultation first, in which case the booking page will offer you the consultation instead. You can also call the clinic during opening hours.

Why is a deposit taken when I book?

Most appointments require a deposit to hold the slot, which is credited in full against the treatment on the day. The amount is shown before you confirm. Deposits are refundable if you cancel more than twenty-four hours in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us at least twenty-four hours. Inside that window a late-cancellation fee applies, because the slot is very difficult to fill at short notice. You can cancel or reschedule yourself in the client portal at any time.

What happens if I am running late?

Tell us as soon as you can. We hold a short grace period, but past roughly fifteen minutes we may need to shorten the treatment or move you, because the next client is booked. Laser and longer treatments are the least flexible.

What is the difference between Botox and filler?

Accepted Answer

A neuromodulator reduces how forcefully a muscle contracts, so it treats lines caused by movement. A filler occupies space, so it treats volume that has been lost. They are not interchangeable, and using one where the other is needed is the most common reason a result looks wrong.

How long does a neuromodulator treatment last?

Effect appears over three to ten days and is fully settled by two weeks, which is when we review you. It typically lasts three to four months, varying with dose, muscle strength and metabolism.

How long does hyaluronic-acid filler last?

Accepted Answer

Roughly twelve to eighteen months in the mid-face and six to twelve months in the lips. Filler degrades unevenly rather than disappearing on a date, which is why we assess before topping up rather than rebooking automatically.

How many laser hair reduction sessions will I need?

Accepted Answer

Most people need six to eight sessions for a substantial reduction, spaced four to six weeks apart on the face and six to ten weeks on the body. Only follicles in their active growth phase respond to each session, which is why a course is unavoidable.

Is laser hair reduction safe on deeper skin tones?

Yes. We use a Candela GentleMax Pro with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength, which is absorbed far less by pigment in the epidermis and is the appropriate choice for Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin. Every course begins with a patch test.

Can I have treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. Injectable treatments are not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Some facials and skin treatments are appropriate — tell us at booking and we will advise what is suitable.

Question 12

Do I need to tell you about my medications and supplements?

Accepted Answer

Bring the full list, including over-the-counter medicines and supplements. Blood thinners, fish oil and high-dose vitamin E increase bruising; some antibiotics and acne medications increase light sensitivity; isotretinoin requires a waiting period before energy-based treatment. It genuinely changes the plan.

Who performs the treatments, and who supervises them?

All injectable treatment is performed by a trained injector under physician supervision, following written medical protocols. Hyaluronidase and a complication pathway are held on site, and the clinic's laser protocols are physician-supervised.

What should I do if something does not seem right afterwards?

Accepted Answer

Call the after-hours number on your aftercare sheet. Escalating pain, blanching or dusky skin after filler, or any change in vision should be reported immediately rather than waiting for morning. We would much rather assess a bruise at eleven at night.

Can a treatment be reversed if I do not like it?

Yes, and for hyaluronic-acid filler it is straightforward: hyaluronidase dissolves it. We will discuss it with you before treatment so you know the option exists. Neuromodulators cannot be reversed but wear off within three to four months.

How do your prices work?

Prices are shown on each treatment page and confirmed in writing in your plan before anything is booked. Where a price is marked as starting from, the final figure depends on how much product is required and is agreed with you before treatment begins.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept card in clinic and online. Packages of sessions and gift cards are available for several treatments and are usually better value than paying per session. Ask at your consultation.

Are treatments covered by insurance?

Accepted Answer

Cosmetic treatments are not covered by OHIP or by most private plans. Some treatments performed for a medical indication may be, and we will give you an itemised receipt to submit if that applies to you.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Accepted Answer

For the first twenty-four hours: no rubbing or massaging the area after a neuromodulator, no gym, sauna or alcohol, and stay upright for four hours. After laser and microneedling: bland skincare only, no heat, no picking, and daily broad-spectrum SPF 50. Your full aftercare sheet goes home with you and is in your portal.

Is the two-week review appointment necessary?

Yes, and please keep it. The two-week review is where a small adjustment costs nothing and where we compare your standardised photographs properly. It is included in the price of the treatment, not an extra appointment.
