A first appointment is a consultation. It takes about forty-five minutes, and you leave with a written plan whether or not you decide to go ahead.
Book online or call the clinic. Most treatments take a deposit to hold the slot, shown before you confirm and credited in full against the treatment on the day. Where a treatment requires a consultation first, the booking page offers you the consultation instead rather than letting you book something you cannot yet have.
Come with a clean face where you can — no makeup on the area being assessed — and bring the full list of medicines and supplements you take, including anything over the counter. It genuinely changes the plan: blood thinners, fish oil and high-dose vitamin E increase bruising, and some antibiotics and acne medications increase light sensitivity.
Skip alcohol the night before if you bruise easily, and eat something beforehand. If you are being seen for a laser treatment, avoid sun and self-tan on the area for two weeks first.
Arrive about ten minutes early so paperwork and makeup removal do not eat into the appointment. Reception is on the fifth floor, separate from the building lobby. Tell us as soon as you can if you are running late — we hold a short grace period, but past roughly fifteen minutes we may need to shorten the treatment or move you, because the next client is booked.
We take a full medical history — conditions, medications, allergies, previous treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any history of keloid scarring or cold sores. Then we assess the concern in good light, at rest and in animation where that matters, and talk through what is actually causing it. This is the part of the visit that decides everything else.
Standardised photographs are taken at the same distance, lighting and lens every time, so a change can be measured rather than remembered. They are stored in your clinical record. Publishing any image is a separate, written decision that is yours alone, and declining has no effect on your treatment.
You get a written plan with prices, timelines and the alternatives — including doing nothing. The consent form sets out what is being done, the risks, what happens if something goes wrong, and how to reach us out of hours. You are not asked to sign it while someone waits: take it away, sign it in the client portal, and book when you are ready.
Where you are suitable, you have had time with the consent form and you ask to go ahead, treatment can happen the same day. Consent is confirmed again before anything begins, and you can stop at any point. Everything used is recorded against your file by product and lot number.
Your aftercare sheet goes home with you and is in your portal, along with the after-hours number. The two-week review is included in the price of the treatment — it is where we compare the photographs properly and where a small adjustment costs nothing.
Read from the clinic's live booking settings, so what you see here is what the booking system will actually do.
Deposits are credited in full against the treatment and are refundable when you cancel outside the window above. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by OHIP or by most private plans; where a treatment is performed for a medical indication we will give you an itemised receipt to submit.
Prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines and supplements — the full list, not the ones you think are relevant. This is the item that most often changes a plan.
Anything you have had done before, when, and by whom. Filler in particular behaves differently depending on what is already there and how long ago it was placed.
Photo ID for a first visit, and your card for the deposit if you are booking on the day. We accept card in clinic and online.
Write them down beforehand. Consultations cover a lot of ground and the question people most regret not asking is usually the one about cost or downtime.

Rose Beauty Clinic is on the fifth floor at 1200 Bay Street, a few minutes north of Bloor in Yorkville. The suite is quiet, private and separate from the lobby, with three treatment rooms and a dedicated laser suite.
Two minutes on foot from Bay station on Line 2, and a five-minute walk from Bloor-Yonge. The 6 Bay bus stops directly outside the building.
Metered street parking on Bay and Yorkville Avenue, and Green P underground lots at Cumberland Street and Yorkville Avenue, both a two-minute walk. Bay Street parking is limited during rush hour, so allow extra time on weekday evenings.
Evening appointments run later on Thursdays and Fridays. If none of these work, call — we can sometimes fit a consultation around a treatment list.
Bring the concern and the medication list. Forty-five minutes, standardised photographs, and a written plan you can take away and think about.
