The face ages in layers, and not all of them at the same speed. Fat pads sitting in distinct compartments across the cheek, temple and jawline shrink and descend. The bone beneath remodels — the eye socket widens, the jaw angle softens, the midface loses projection. Ligaments tethering skin to deeper structures loosen. By the time someone notices a nasolabial fold or a hollow beneath the eye, the cause is usually several centimetres from where they are pointing.
That is why the most natural results often come from treating the area that lost the volume rather than the line that appeared because of it. Restoring modest support in the lateral cheek frequently softens a nasolabial fold more convincingly, and with less product, than injecting the fold directly.
We use hyaluronic-acid fillers of different densities according to the layer being treated: firmer gels deep on bone for structural support, softer gels superficially where skin needs hydration and light. For people who prefer gradual change, a collagen biostimulator works differently again — it prompts your own collagen to build over several months rather than adding volume on the day.
Assessment comes first. We look at the face in three dimensions, upright rather than reclined, and we photograph it. We will say plainly if we think the concern is better addressed by skin tightening, by weight stability, or by leaving it alone. Repeated treatment before previous filler has fully resorbed is how faces become overfilled without anyone deciding to overfill them, and declining to treat on the day is a normal part of our practice.
Hyaluronic-acid filler in the mid-face typically lasts twelve to eighteen months; in the lips, six to twelve. Biostimulators are given as a course of about three sessions six weeks apart, developing over three to six months.
Filler carries real risks, including bruising, swelling, nodules and rare vascular complications. Every treatment is performed by a trained injector under physician supervision, with hyaluronidase and an emergency protocol on site. We go through all of it with you before you decide.
Each of these is performed here under physician supervision. Which one is right depends on the assessment, and more than one may be combined over a course.

The shape of a course is the same whichever treatment your plan settles on. What changes is how many appointments sit inside it and how long the result takes to appear.
We take a medical history, assess the concern in good light — at rest and in animation where that matters — and take standardised photographs. You leave with a written plan carrying prices and timelines. Nothing is treated on the day unless you ask, you are medically suitable, and you have had time to read the consent form.
The appointment itself is usually the shortest part. Treatments for this concern run between 45 min and 1 h 30 min. Consent is confirmed again before anything begins, and you can stop at any point.
Suitability is decided at the consultation, not at booking. These are the things that most often change a plan — or postpone it — and every one of them is asked about before anything is treated.

The first lines to appear are usually the ones you make on purpose. Softening them is a question of movement, not erasure.
Enlarged pores, roughness and the shallow craters left by acne are all scaffold problems, and the scaffold sits below where any cream can reach.

How quickly a change appears depends on the mechanism. A treatment that relaxes a muscle shows over days; anything that works by remodelling collagen keeps developing for weeks after the visit, which is why the result is judged later rather than in the mirror on the way out. Your aftercare sheet goes home with you and is in your portal.
We photograph you again under the same conditions and compare properly, rather than from memory. This is where a small adjustment costs nothing. It is included in the price of the treatment, not booked as an extra appointment.
Where a course is needed, sessions are spaced to the biology rather than to the diary, and we reassess before each one. If the photographs do not show the change we expected, we say so and change the plan.
For context rather than as a forecast: the published case studies using these treatments ran 2–3 sessions over 12–26 weeks. Individual results vary, and your own plan is decided at consultation.

Photographs are published with written client consent and are not retouched. Individual results vary; nothing shown here is presented as a typical or guaranteed outcome.
Sun spots, melasma and post-acne marks look alike and behave nothing alike. Treating the wrong one can leave you worse off than before.
Bring what you have noticed. We will assess it properly, photograph it, and give you a written plan — including the honest answer if volume loss & facial contour is not best treated here.
