These are the concerns this treatment is a reasonable answer to. Each page explains the mechanism before it names a product.
Non-invasive body work targets the fat layer and the overlying skin with energy rather than a blade — heating, cooling or mechanically disrupting the tissue so the body clears it gradually through normal metabolism.
It is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss treatment. It works on discrete areas that have not responded to diet and training, in people already close to their stable weight. If what you are describing is better answered by surgery or by a dietitian, we will tell you.
This treatment is performed by these practitioners, under physician supervision. You can request one of them when you book.
Your appointment is booked for 1 h. Here is where that time actually goes.
We measure the area, weigh you, and take standardised photographs from fixed marks on the floor. Body work is judged against numbers taken on day one, not against memory.
We agree which zones are being treated and in what order, how many sessions the plan needs, and what the honest ceiling is. If surgery would serve you better, we say so and refer.
The applicator or handpiece is worked over each zone in passes. Most people describe warmth and a deep pulling sensation; you can talk, read or work through it.
Nothing is off limits afterwards. Drink water, keep moving normally, and expect the area to feel tender for a day or two — that tenderness is the treated tissue, not a problem.
We re-measure and re-photograph at twelve weeks against the same marks. Body results build slowly and are easy to talk yourself out of seeing; the tape measure settles it.
Given to you in writing on the day as well. Aftercare instructions are never hidden behind a tooltip or a truncation.
None of these is automatically a no. Several simply change the plan, the product or the timing — but we need to know before, not after.
You are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
There is an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound at the treatment site.
You have had surgery, a vaccination or dental work in the area within the last two weeks.
You have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any other implanted electronic device.
There is a hernia, recent abdominal surgery or a surgical mesh in the treatment area.
You are being treated for a condition affecting circulation, clotting or wound healing.
Every treatment here is performed after a medical history review and, where the treatment requires one, a signed consent specific to that plan. Products are Health Canada authorised and tracked from supplier lot to your individual record.
