These are the concerns this treatment is a reasonable answer to. Each page explains the mechanism before it names a product.
A medical facial built around what your skin is doing that week rather than a fixed protocol: cleanse, a chosen exfoliation, extraction where it is warranted, a treatment step, and a mask.
It will not remodel collagen and it does not pretend to. What it does reliably is clear congestion, lift dullness and give a practitioner a proper look at your skin every few weeks — which is how problems get caught early.
This treatment is performed by these practitioners, under physician supervision. You can request one of them when you book.
Verbatim, first name and initial only, and never a five-star row — a rating is not a clinical outcome.
The rest of Skin Treatments. A plan often combines two of these rather than doubling down on one.
Collagen induction therapy for texture, scars and pores.
Mechanical exfoliation for smooth, bright skin.
Your appointment is booked for 1 h. Here is where that time actually goes.
Skin examined under magnification, a look at what you are currently using at home, and a note of anything that has flared recently. Half of a good facial is deciding what not to do.
Exfoliation, extraction or needling depending on the plan, worked in sections so the practitioner can stop early on any area that is reacting more than expected.
A calming mask, a barrier serum and SPF. Redness at this point is expected and is not a measure of how well the treatment worked.
You leave with a written routine for the following week — usually simpler than what you arrived with. Actives go back in gradually, and sun protection goes on daily.
Skin work compounds. We book the next session before you leave so the interval is right, and we photograph at the same point in every course.
Given to you in writing on the day as well. Aftercare instructions are never hidden behind a tooltip or a truncation.
None of these is automatically a no. Several simply change the plan, the product or the timing — but we need to know before, not after.
You are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
There is an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound at the treatment site.
You have had surgery, a vaccination or dental work in the area within the last two weeks.
You have taken isotretinoin in the last six months.
You have an active eczema, psoriasis or rosacea flare on the area.
You have waxed, had a peel or used a prescription retinoid on the area in the last week.
You scar thickly or form keloids.
Every treatment here is performed after a medical history review and, where the treatment requires one, a signed consent specific to that plan. Products are Health Canada authorised and tracked from supplier lot to your individual record.
